Searches Continue For Missing Michael Bugler

Search teams combing the Galway coastline for missing Ennis man Michael Bugler have been warned of severe weather this afternoon and difficult coastal conditions.

Up to 300 people gathered in Oranmore this morning, where a local school has become the headquarters for the search which extends northwards to Spiddal and Inverin and south to Aughinish Point, close to Kinvara.

Volunteers, many of them from Clare, were briefed by Gardai and warned of sea swells of up to nine metres this afternoon, as Storm Frank approaches.

The 20-year-old student was last seen in the Quay Street area of Galway, in the early hours of Friday, December 18.
