The search for a man feared missing at the Cliffs of Moher is due to resume today.
The man was reported missing after family became concerned for his wellbeing.
The alarm was raised on Tuesday afternoon after the family of a man, believed to be in his late 50’s, became concerned for his wellbeing.
A car, which the missing man is understood to have been driving, was located in the area.
Gardaí were notified and carried out an initial search, but found no trace of the man.
Early yesterday, Gardaí requested assistance from the Irish Coast Guard and members of the Doolin unit began a search of the cliff top and surrounding lands.
The Shannon based Irish Coast Guard search and rescue helicopter, Rescue 115, also carried out a search of the area.
Searches continued until dusk before being called off for the night. The operation is expected to resume this morning.
