The Kilrush-based Irish Whale and Dolphin group is appealing to anyone with a private jet to help them rehome a Logger Head Turtle.
The turtle which is believed to be female and betweeen 10 and 15 years old was washed ashore on Quilty during last winter's storms.

It has been rehabilitating in the Galway Atlantaquarium since them and is now ready to be allowed out to sea.
However to survive it needs the warmer waters of the Canary Islands and Simon Berows says its proving difficult to find the creature a home.
