The search for a missing fisherman off the North Clare Coast will resume in the coming hours.

The man in his 40’s who was living and working in Tuam but is originally from Latvia, had been fishing with a friend from rocks near the lighthouse at Blackhead yesterday afternoon before he fell into the water.
A major search involving the Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard and the Shannon based rescue helicopter was called off last evening but is expected to resume at around 9 o’clock.
