Students at the Limerick Institute of Technology have achieved a world record in memory of a Clare sporting great.
‘Scrum for Axel’ broke the world record for the most amount of people taking part in a rugby scrum, which was previously set in Japan by approximately 1560 people.

Supported by the Foley family, 1,740 took part in event and the funds raised are to be donated to the Midwest Cancer Foundation.
