Same Sex couples can apply to be married from today, while those who've already given notice for a civil partnership can choose to marry instead.

The final legal hurdle was cleared last week when Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald signed the commencement order for the Marriage Equality Act.
It also means that the marriages of couples who have had weddings abroad are now recognised here.
