Samaritans Urge People To Reach Out Over The Christmas Period

Samaritans are urging people to reach out to somebody close to them if they are feeling low.

Concerns have been expressed by a range of health professionals that the COVID pandemic will impact peoples’ mental health, and a number of support groups have reported increased demand on their services.

The Clare branch of Samaritans says it’s important to speak about problems before they become even greater.

Director Margaret MacMahon believes acting early can have huge benefits.

Samaritans freephone 24-hour helpline is available on 116 123.
