A listening ear will be available to attendees of a flagship North Clare festival this weekend in the form of a leading mental health charity.
Samaritans will be present at the Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival where thousands are expected to partake in the festivities.

Volunteers will be on duty at the Square on Friday night and all day on Saturday to support and listen to those in need.
A total of 108 callers were assisted at the event last year, three of which expressed suicidal feelings, and Samaritans volunteer Sean Breathnach says it’s not unusual for those at high-energy festivals to feel low.
