Saint Vincent De Paul Hopeful Vaccine Will Bring Normality

The Clare Area President of Saint Vincent de Paul is hopeful that the charity can get back to business as usual once a COVID-19 vaccine is rolled out.

With the difficulties brought about by the pandemic, including the current lockdown, the charity has had to change the way in which it conducts its service, including an end to in-person visits or assessments.

The number of people volunteering with Saint Vincent de Paul in 2020 also dropped as many volunteers have had to step back in order to protect their health.

Niamh McDonnell is hopeful normality will resume with the vaccine, but says they will be careful in the meantime.
