The Chairperson of an East Clare water activites club says there are growing concerns at the number of people who are taking to the water to try new activities without knowing the risks.
With the prospect of a second season of staycationing ahead, the Government is encouraging the idea of an outdoor summer.
Under the current Covid 19 restrictions, lessons for newcomers to water sports are not permitted, with 50 people already on a waiting list for lessons with the O’ Briensbridge Kayaking Club in East Clare.
