‘Sad Day’ When Men Can’t Drive Home After A Couple Of Pint Says Councillor

A Killaloe councillor says it’s a “sad day” when a working man can’t drive home after a couple of pints.

Pat Burke has been reacting to news that 105 people were arrested on suspicion of drink driving in the first five months of this year.

It has reignited debate on the impact drink driving laws have on life in rural Ireland and was discussed at the meeting of Clare’s Joint Policing Committee this week.
