Ryanair willing to boost Shannon Flights

Ryanair is willing to bring extra flights  to a newly formed Shannon Airport entity, but only on the same free landing basis previously turned down by management there.

The low fares airline withdrew most of its services from Shannon in recent years due to what the DAA described as unreasonable demands to pay the airline for passengers, but some services to Stansted, Gatwick and a small number of European holiday destinations remain.

Following last weeks announcement of an independent Shannon Airport it’s hoped new management can attract airlines like Ryanair to generate more traffic, but Chief Executive Michael O’Leary says he’s been willing to do that for some time now.
