Ryanair Says Government Can Do More To Support Shannon Airport

Ryanair says “there’s more than can be done” by the Government to ensure the ongoing success of Shannon Airport.

The Irish airline has announced its summer 2025 schedule for the Clare base which includes one new route to Madeira as well as increased frequencies on eight other popular routes.

The unveiling of the schedule has coincided with a joint call from Shannon Airport and Ryanair for the one million passenger cap of the Government’s Regional Airports Programme to be increased to three million so Shannon can continue to avail of this crucial funding stream.

Ryanair Chief Marketing Officer Dara Brady says the more funding Shannon receives, the easier it is for airlines to fly in and out.
