Not everyone is welcoming the separation of Shannon Airport.

Ryanair’s criticising the Governments failure to sell Shannon airport to the private sector, a move which the low fares carrier says would have seen investment and growth in the airport for the benefit of the Midwest region.
In a statement Ryanair says the transfer from the DAA to the new body is "like moving the deck chairs on the Titanic – The ship will still sink".
