Ryanair is blaming Brexit for its decision to scale back flights from Shannon Airport.

The airline has not confirmed the extent of its cuts, but currently some of its flights between both Manchester and London-Stansted can't be booked for dates in November, and in the New Year.

No routes are being cut, but Ryanair has told Clare FM that they are pivoting away from UK airports, and focussing instead on EU airports in the wake of the Brexit referendum result.

Shannon electoral area Councillor Pat McMahon says the move is worrying.
