The Education Minister says he regrets the necessity of having to reduce special needs hours in schools.

Ruairi Quinn’s also insisting that a reduction in hours in resource teaching does not amount to a cut.
Parents and teachers have expressed their anger and frustration over the reduction and are planning to march to the Dáil next Wednesday to protest.
Minister Quinn say the change hasn’t resulted in any pay cuts and is calling on SNAs and resource teachers to give more with the hours allocated.
