Runners and walkers under starters orders for Pakie Ryan Memorial event in Newmarket

The Pakie Ryan Memorial Walk and Run is taking place in Newmarket-on-Fergus today. 

Now in its 7th year, the event has to date raised just short of 215,000 euro for various charities, and is held to memory of the popular local man who passed away in 2009. 

Open to runners, joggers and walkers, the race starts from outside The Newmarket Celtic FC grounds and is finishing at the Newmarket on Fergus GAA Club.
