Rumors Fleadh Cheoil Na hÉireann To Return Next Year Shot Down

Suggestions that Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann could make a sooner-than-expected return to Ennis have been shot down.

Various rumors locally have suggested that Ennis could step in to host the 2018 event after the success of the past nine days, and the record attendance for the event.

However, well-placed sources have scotched this suggestion and on Sunday night last, Drogheda received the Fleadh flag in the official handover ahead of the event there next August.

Ennis will host a major event in traditional music, the Munster Fleadh, in July 2018.
