Roche-Kelly Court Hearing Postponed to May

A High Court action for damages against the state by the husband of murdered Sixmilebridge woman Sylvia Roche-Kelly is to be heard in May.

Widower Lorcan Roche-Kelly is suing the Garda Commissioner because his wife's killer, Jerry McGrath, was on bail at the time of her death in 2007.

The case was listed for hearing before the High Court today, but both sides agreed to it being put back to May 26th.

Circumstances surrounding the Roche-Kelly killing are currently in the spotlight because they are referred to in a Garda whistleblower dossier given to the Taoiseach last week by Fianna Fail leader Michael Martin.
