The Irish Road Hauliage Association claims 40 jobs are at risk in Clare as a result of a dispute between independent haulage contractors and Roadstone Wood.

Drivers have withdrawn services from quarries in Bunratty and Toonagh in a disagreement over rates of pay, while up to 20 are continuning to hold a protest in Bunratty this afternoon.
In a statement to Clare FM, the Department of Jobs Enterprise and Innovation says the LRC would be made available if required by both sides.
In the last few minutes, meanwhile, a spokesman for Roadstone has called on Clare hauliers to resume service immediately in order for discussions to commence between local representatives and the company aimed at resolving outstanding issues.
