Road Deaths Rise For First Time Since 2005

The Road Safety Authority has expressed deep concern at the number of lives lost on Irish roads in 2013.

There’s been a sharp increase in road fatality figures with 190 people killed over the 12 month period – that’s up 28 on the previous year.

Speeding, driver error, fatigue and mobile phone use while driving are some of the contributing factors.
