The R478 between Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher has reopened following an earlier road traffic incident.
A truck became stuck on the stretch of road this morning following a collision involving another vehicle.
The road was temporarily closed while Gardaí, the Ennistymon Unit of Clare County Council Fire and Rescue Service and Council gritting crews tended to the scene.
Caution is still being advised however, with reports of extensive black ice on roads and footpaths across the county, including in Doonbeg and Ogonnelloe.

A heavily trafficked North Clare road has been closed.
The R478 Ballard Road on the Doolin side of Cliffs of Moher has become impassable due to ice, with a truck currently stuck at the location.
Gardaí are in attendance at the scene.
Motorists are being advised to observe the upmost caution and take alternative routes..
