Rise In Number Of Clare Home Owners In Mortgage Arrears

There has been a sharp rise in the number of home-owners in this county who are in mortgage arrears.

That’s despite the roll-out of a new government-backed scheme being offered through the Money Advice and Budgeting Services.

MABS says they’ve seen an annual increase of more than 80 percent in the number of Clare homeowners in difficulty and they’re urging people to avail of the ‘Abhaile’ scheme, which offers support in accessing legal and financial advice.
