Clare Gardai have recorded a five-fold increase in instances of drink driving this Bank holiday weekend.
10 people were detained on suspicion of driving under the influence since Thursday, compared to 2 in the same period last year.

Garda sources say they attribute the rise, in part, to high enforcement levels over reecnt days.
No serious traffic accidents were recorded here over the past few days, though there were 13 minor crashes, up from 9 in 2013.
