Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 40 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 25 of those in the Emergency Department.

The figure mirrors that of St Vincent's University Hospital, where there are also 40 people waiting on trolleys, while Beaumont Hospital in Dublin and Our Lady of Lourdes in Drogheda have both recorded a figure of 37.
