€800,000 worth of herbal cannabis has been seized at Shannon Airport today.
Following risk profiling and with the assistance of detector dog Brody, 40kg of the illicit substance was discovered in vacuum packed containers originating in Toronto, Canada.

It follows the discovery of €100,000 of the drug at the Clare base on Wednesday.
Investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
