Revenue In Ennis Says Reports Of Non-Compliance Grossly Exaggerated

Revenue in Ennis says reports of widespread non-compliance among taxpayers with regard to property tax are grossly exaggerated.

Earlier this week it was reported that as many as a quarter of a million homeowners across the country may have declared the value of their properties to be as much as 100,000 euro below the guide price.

But the Customer Sales Manager at Revenue's office on the Kilrush Road says 96 per cent of people have paid up which is broadly in line with expectations.

John O'Connor says revenue is happy with current compliance rate.
