Retenetion of New York Aer Lingus route welocmed by Clare businesses

Local businesses are welcoming the retention of Shannon to New York flights along with Aer Lingus’s decision to increase the frequency of it’s Heathrow services.

It had been thought that Shannon would lose all flights to airports in New York as part of cost cutting by the former state airline but with the full withdrawal of Delta flights from Shannon, Aer Lingus saved the New York route and dropped flights to Chicago.

And on another positive note for local connectivty a third Heathrow flight is set to be introduced this winter.
