Aer Lingus Cabin Crew have accepted proposals put forward by the LRC which should avert strike action and save their Shannon Base which was to close following a dispute over the number of crew on new flights commencing in January.

The airline hasn’t commented on the outcome of their ballot yet, but it’s hoped the deal brings certainty for the Shannon based cabin crew who were fearful for their futures.

The Mayor of Shannon, Greg Duff is pleased that the new services can now proceed without problems.
