Residents Of Unofficial “Bypass Of Ennis” Said To Be Living In “Nightmare Situation”

Residents living on a road being used as an unofficial “bypass of Ennis” are said to be living in a “nightmare situation”.

Short-term traffic congestion mitigation measures are being sought for the Kilbricken Road which runs from the Quin Road to the N85 Relief Road.

The link road is too narrow to accommodate two lanes of traffic and is therefore prone to bottlenecks in driveways and gateways, particularly at peak times.

Mayor of Clare, Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy, says making the route one-way would probably be the easiest solution.
