A resident of a Shannon apartment where serious fire safety defects have been identified is calling for the government to take action before ‘lives are lost’.
The ‘Not Our Fault’ campaign marked the summer solstice with a 24 hour protest outside Leinster House & will address the Dáíl at noon today, to highlight ongoing delays in the implementation of a redress scheme.
Its estimated that over 100,000 apartment and duplex units built during the Celtic Tiger, including 240 at Brú Na Sionna, did not meet construction standards.
Campaign Spokesperson & Brú Na Sionna Resident, Lorraine Carew insists that emergency funding is required to prevent a tragic outcome.
