Rescue 116 Crash Report Suggests Onboard Aids Need Updating

An initial report into the coastguard helicopter crash has recommended that onboard technical aids need to be upgraded.

The warning system on R116 did not have data related to Blackrock island, off the Mayo coast, where it hit rocks.

The flight went down last month resulting in the loss of all four crew members’ lives.
