St. Vincent de Paul in Clare says requests for assistance has doubled since 2009.

The charity currently offers services at 12 locations throughout the county, including Ennis, Kilkee, Kilrush, Ennistymon, Miltown Malbay, Newmarket-on-Fergus and Shannon.
It's now looking for more volunteers to keep up with demand and will hold an information session tonight at 7.30pm in the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis.
John Cullinane, Area President of SVP, says they deal with a wide range of requests for assistance.
