A HSE draft report into the death of Savita Halappanavar at University Hospital Galway is to be considered by her husband and his legal team over the weekend.
The 108 page report was handed over to Gerard O’Donnell, Mr. Halappanavar’s solicitor, earlier today by the Chief Operating Officer of the Galway-Roscommon Hospital Group Tony Canavan.
Praveen will be given the report by this evening and has been invited to make contributions and seek adjustments to the report, should he see fit to do so.
31 year old Savita died at UHG on the 28th of October 2012, after suffering a miscarriage and contracting septicaemia.
Her husband Praveen has argued that she was denied an abortion.
Mr. O’Donnell says a decision on any response to the report will be made after the draft is considered over the weekend.
