Repair crews are continuing work this lunchtime as hundreds of homes and businesses in Clarecastle, Quin and surrounding areas remain without water.
A burst water main occurred overnight, with Irish Water workers on site at first light this morning.

The utility is estimating supply will begin being restored at around 3pm, though is warning customers that full service may not resume in some areas until two or three hours after that time.
Speaking with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville, Clarecastle-based Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy is praising the speed Irish Water has shown in dealing with the issue.
