The Leader of RENUA says the party is hoping to announce a Clare candidate in the upcoming General Election in the near future.

Lucinda Creighton says a number of people are underconsideration and a number of interviews have already taken place.
She believes that there remains enough time for a potential candidate to put forward a successful campaign once an announcement is made on when the election will be held.
Ms Creighton says their focus has been on their policy agenda up until now but she insists a decision on a Clare candidate will soon be made.
