Rental prices in Clare have risen faster than in parts of Dublin over the past year.

A new report from Daft.ie has found a 7.1% rise in rental prices, up to a countywide average of 591 euro.
This figure is 12% higher than at the lowest point of rental prices during the economic downturn.
The report also suggests that mortgage repayments are lower than rental prices for many properties here.
Economist with Daft.ie Ronan Lyons – says most of this increase has happened in the last six months and that pressure in the market here is picking up.
