Renowned Musician To Be Laid To Rest In Ennis Today

President Higgins has led the tributes to musician Tommy Peoples, who will be laid to rest in Ennis today.

The renowned fiddle player and composer passed away in his native Donegal this weekend.

In a statement, President Higgins described Tommy Peoples as a master of his craft, saying he engaged audiences at home and abroad with his unique style of music.

Tommy Peoples lived in Toonagh, near Ennis, for over 30 years after marrying Mary Linnane, and he will be laid to rest in Drumcliffe Cemetery today following 12 noon funeral mass at Ennis Cathedral.
