Renewed Appeal For Improved Medical Card Access For Terminal Patients

A Quin man with terminal cancer has renewed his calls for the Health Minister to improve medical card access for terminally ill patients.

Terminal illness cards are only granted to those who have a prognosis of less than 12 months to live but John Wall believes this is too short, and wants it doubled to two years as an interim measure.

He’s written an open letter to Health Minister Stephen Donelly on the matter, and says he’s campaigning for those who are even less fortunate than him.
