A renewed appeal has been issued to people in Clare to give blood, in an effort to replenish falling stocks.

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says supplies have been reduced to just 3 days, well below their 7 day target.
There will be a donation clinic in the Greenhills Hotel on the Ennis Road in Limerick this evening from 5 and 8pm, while there will also opportunites to donate in Ennis early next month.
Midwest Area Manager with the IBTS Aileen Browne says increasing supply will be important ahead of the October Bank Holiday Weekend.
