A body has been recovered from the cliffs of Moher.
The woman's remains were discovered this morning after a large search operation which began on Monday.
Doolin Coastguard, Resuce 115, Gardaí in Ennistymon and the Garda Diving team launched their search efforts on Monday after a reported sighting of the woman in the water.
However it wasn't until 10 o'clock this morning that the woman – who is believed to be from the county – was recovered.
Her remains had washed up on the shore beneath the viewing platform at the cliffs of moher.
The woman's body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick and her family has been notified.
Gardaí are investigating the incident.
