Remains Of Sporting Legend Anthony Foley To Be Flown Home Today

The remains of Killaloe sporting legend Anthony Foley are being flown home from Paris today.

A French coroner's report has found the Munster coach died from a lung condition, brought on by a heart disorder.

Anthony Foley's remains will be flown to Shannon Airport today, following which they'll be brought to his family home in Killaloe.

He will lie in repose at St Flannan's Church tomorrow from 1 o'clock until to 8:30 in the evening, and will be laid to rest at Reilig Lua, Killaloe on Friday, following funeral mass at 12 noon.

A spokesperson for the family has advised that the Church is reserved for family and friends and that people intending on paying their respects to Anthony should attend early.

The Munster and Ireland rugby legend was found dead in his hotel room in Paris on Sunday. 

The coroner's report says the 42-year-old died due to an "acute pulmonary oedema", which is a build up of fluid on the lungs, brought on by an irregular heart beat condition.
