A case against the Health Minister over an alleged unpaid debt is due before the High Court today.
James Reilly is being jointly sued, along with his business partners, by a firm of architects over a planned private medical centre in north Dublin, that was never built.
Dublin-based PM Group claims it is due a six-figure sum, believed to be about 100,000 euro for work on the proposed Airside Clinic in Swords, Co. Dublin.
PM Group was hired in 2007 to draw up plans for the multi-million euro, four-storey private medical centre.
Planning permission was granted for the proposed site in 2010, but the sod was never turned.
The property crash has ended hopes of developing the scheme, and the land was put on the market last May at a knock-down price.
PM Group is now suing Dr James Reilly and the other investors of the Airside Clinic in Swords – Dr David Reilly and Dr Stan Natin, as well as Airside Clinic itself – over alleged unpaid professional fees.
Dr Reilly says he "utterly" rejects that he owes PM Group any money and has vowed to fight the claim. The case begins at the High Court this morning.
