The operation to recover the five victims of the helicopter crash in Snowdonia in North Wales is due to resume this morning, after it was suspended overnight due to poor weather conditions and treacherous terrain.

The aircraft left Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire on Wednesday morning en route to Weston Airport in Dublin, but lost radar contact shortly after lunchtime.

It’s understood the victims include Ruth Burke, who’s originally from Dublin, and her businessman husband Kevin Burke, whose parents were from Mayo.

Three other close relatives were also killed, although none of the victims have yet been formally identified.

It’s understood the family had been coming to Ireland for a family event.
