Record breaking year for visitors to Cliffs of Moher

A record-breaking number of sight-seers visited the Cliffs of Moher this year.

Over 1.2 million people visited the world famous North Clare tourist attraction – a 15 per cent increase on the previous year.

This year marked a fifth straight year of growth, while the site's one millionth visitor arrived in mid-September, a month earlier than in 2014. 

Cliffs of Moher Director, Katherine Webster, says they're hopeful growth will continue.
