Record-Breaking Figures On Trolleys At Irish Hospitals Again

A Clare member of the HSE’s Regional Health Forum West says he is disillusioned with Ireland’s health system as trolley numbers continue to climb.

Latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation reveal that of the 8,000 patients left waiting on trolleys in Irish hospitals last month, almost 900 were at University Hospital Limerick.

That’s the highest figure of any individual hospital and is almost 120 ahead of the next busiest facility, which was Cork University Hospital.
