Record-Breaking 91 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital Today

A record-breaking 91 people have been left waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from nurses union, the INMO show 54 people were waiting on trolleys in the Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick this morning, with a further 37 accommodated on wards.

It’s the highest ever number recorded in the month of October and one shy of the all-time recrod of 92 in January last year.
