The re-opening of Ryanair’s Shannon base this summer will be dependent on the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The airline made a high-profile announcement in December that it is to base an aircraft at Shannon once more this summer, as well as increasing its number of flights there.

Since then, there has been a spike in COVID cases and deaths and government figures have warned that there will be little in the way of international travel over the coming months.
