There are calls for immediate action to resolve a problem with rats in one of Shannon town’s residential areas.

The infestation, which has been reported by residents in the adjoining Finian and Aidan Parks, was first reported in May, and was discussed by Shannon Town Council at their monthly meeting this week.
Local authority engineers have visited the sites, but local representatives say the problem has not eased and are calling for action.
