Figures contained in Daft.ie's quarterly reports show a 19 per cent rise in houses prices in the county over the past year, bringing to 147,000 euro the average asking price of a house here.
The figures is well above the national average and is one of the largest increases in rural areas across the country.
Chief Economist Ronal Lyons has told Clare FM that a number of factors could be behind the rapid increase.
